Even if you don't use the sunroof, it brings a lot of light in the cabin, for me it's a must have and I think a big plus when comes resale time. You have to see if it is a must have for you, if not I think the fact it lacks a sunroof is a way to haggle the price. |

I'd prefer without a sunroof. I asked on here what effect absence would have on resale a while ago. The opinion seemed that more people liked them than not, so the resale market for metal roof cars would be smaller.

Lot of good advice here, thank you and you've expressed my feelings almost completely.

Check with a dealer if it will affect a trade in value?

IIRC they ran out of glass at one point - so there were a batch without sun roofs - and yes, it's only pano roofs

Considering it's standard now, more people will want one that not |

I think all L405s now come with panoramic glass roof with electric blind as standard.

I was sceptical about pano roofs but having had our Mercedes SL for a while now, it really is nice having that open feeling with roof up and it really brightens the cabin.

had an 2016 E-joke as a loaner during inspection. It had the glass pano. I hit the switch and watched the headliner go back and was like "wow cool!" then I looked at the switch and hit again and nothing...looked for another switch on how to open the roof...there isn't one! What a stupid option IMO. Id rather have a steel roof over just a glass roof that does nothing. And I'd rather have a moon roof over both of those option...better yet I'd like the Pano roof like the Cayenne's have that DO open up....now THAT is awesome....THEY did it right. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

I think there are two types, both of which are panoramic. Fixed and sliding, the sliding being in two parts essentially |
