When you are driving it is difficult for the FF to decide what is or isn't standard height, bends, pot holes, camber etc means that the system has to "guess" where it should be, when you stop and switch off it resets and goes to normal height (unless you pressed access) it will only do this with the doors shut so you see it do it after you get out...

Ah ok...makes sense I guess. Was odd since my commute is mostly the same everyday and sometime it does it and others not. Just a quirky thing with the suspension....but man do I love the air ride comfort...so I'll put up with the quirkyness 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

I've noticed mine do it occasionally when sat at traffic lights. First couple of times I wasn't sure it actually happened then I panicked a little thinking something was wrong then I realised what it was doing |

Presumably the level sensors have small steps in them. If you're on the cusp of one of the steps the suspension might move from one step to the other as occupants move about in the vehicle. |

Hall effect sensor, totally linear, but the system has a + or - 9mm tolerance in standard mode...
