Looking good.
Is that a scratch on the bonnet or a reflection?

Tell me what orbital polisher I should buy please. I hand polished the Vivaro scuffs and scratches today and got them out easily, so it's not going back to the dealers. I just had a feeling I'd be letting myself in for more disappointment if I left it with them.
I'm selling her Honda CR-V and it needs a machine polish, so I'd like to get a polisher asap. Previously..

It's the reflection of a jet vapour trail that went overhead Laughing Laughing

Archie, the DAS-6-PRO dual action polisher gets a very good write up...Be warned though, you'll be on a very slippery slope if you get one, they're addictive Laughing Laughing

I'm still not 100% happy with the final results on the Subaru paintwork, it looks almost great but not amazing and it just doesn't have the 'zing' (not even sure what word I'm needing to describe this) I'm looking for.

Compared to the FFRR which show perfect clarity in the reflection the Subaru is a long way off the mark. May have to wet and dry the paint and start at the beginning

Oh...I should never have bought a black car, it's going to mess with my head...Been doing a bit more polishing as I still wasn't happy with the finish, it's almost there now...almost Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

I have a 3M Sun Gun which is excellent for showing up swirls and marks on the paintwork, it's an expensive bit of kit but nothing else on the market compares and it's as close to natural sunlight you can get. Only problem is the battery doesn't last long and buying replacements are £100+ so for all the time I use it the cost was too much to justify the price. My Sun Gun is 6 or 7 years old and the battery is almost dead so I decided today to try hooking it up to a 12V transformer, but it didn't work so plan B was hook it up to a spare car battery with the C-Tek connected and for the first time in a few years the darned thing worked, in fact it works better than with the original battery and when shone on the paintwork showed lots of swirls so back to the drawing board and out with the polishes again

Some more reflection shots in no particular order
