Electronic transfers used to take a few days if between different banks. But now they only take a couple of hours, if they don't go instantly. That's not great if they buyer has travelled some distance and doesn't want to wait around. But if you go to the buyers bank and have them do the transfer at the counter it's as good as cash. Actually it's better as you don't have to risk walking down the road with several thousand pounds in cash on your person.

When I sold my Disco 3 recently the guy who bought it went to his bank. I gave them my account details and he sent the money via a CHAPS transfer - I think it cost him £27 but the money was in my account instantly. 2017 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography

All worked out in the end, the chap who I felt uneasy with disappeared off the face of the earth.... no answering text messages, phone calls etc Whistle It just goes to show, always trust your instincts Shocked

Fortunately someone who'd viewed the car a few weeks back called saying he'd been to see various Range Rovers and none compared to mine so it's now sold, pending a personalised registration transfer Thumbs Up Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
