First time I have been let down last Saturday. I have had a slight whining noise from the engine bay which I thought was the alternator, LR could never fault it and said that as they didn't see many 4.2 S/C vehicles that they were not sure. Anyway, was dropping my Mum off at her house on Saturday evening and as I pulled into her drive, all lights on dash, sat nav on and off and then dead. Couldn't restart it. RAC came out within fifteen minutes and confirmed failed alternator. Bit of luck it broke down where I parked it.

Car now back with us and all working well!

Damn annoying that there was not more of a warning nor that the dealer found it before it failed. But glad you are on the road again. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

was the alternator very expensive to replace Alex? ... - .- -.
