Crop circles on bonnet - Any ideas !

I posted these before but are now very distinctive. They have gradually got worse as time goes on and I dont have a clue how they got there, not bothered by them just interested if anyone has any ideas, there is nothing underneath that part of the bonnet that could cause heat etc.

At no time in my ownership - 9 years has a hot pan been put on the bonnet Thumbs Up

A bottle of oil, or a can with the left overs of brake fluid attached to it?

I have a crop circle (a full fat one) in the boot on the spare tyre cover. A circle (damp) @ 16" round. Am guessing it is from the air compressor as no sign of leaks from above. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

that does look like the lacquer has gone through and your gradually getting through to the undercaot the only cure is for a decent bodyshop to respray the hood
