TDV8 Service costs

Hi all

Just had my TDV8 serviced this week, and took a beating for 1000€ (870 quid) basically for nothing....
I had a year and oil service indication, and, in the invoice, all I can find is new pads all round, oil, filter, etc...
which add up to 650€ (570). I had no ''strange'' parts, nothing broken.

So 1000 for a service seems way way too steep...

How much have you other owners of tdv8's payed for basic services?

My first service (15k miles) was £210. Nothing done with pads or such though. Neutral The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

I have never had a really scary bill on any of my cars but I do the brakes and "inspection" bits myself before it goes in. That way all I ever have done at the main dealer is the routine engine service, oil, filters etc. Everything else they inspect is always up to scratch.

Can't see the point of paying the stealer hundreds of £ to change brake pads which I can do myself in half an hour. Same thing for wiper blades & bulbs etc.
