just checked mine and i need an off side strap, very rusty ...near side is new so it must have been replaced before i bought it.... ... - .- -.

My nearside one is also as new while the off side is rusty - I wondered whether the presence of the damper might have been a factor in preserving the nearside one from water/salt, or maybe those with the damper attachment are made to a different standard. My offside one is to be replaced under the three year warranty. Only Range Rovers since 1988

i wonder if the rear washer water runs down the off side and rusts the straps.. ... - .- -.

It would need to have been in the first 9 months of the car's life (or the dealer has done it without telling me while it was in for a service)... Only Range Rovers since 1988
