Side Step and Front Mudguard Fitment, MY02?

I have looked at the accessory fitting guide for OEM side steps and front mudguards but it doesn't help.

Is the mudguard "fixed" to the side step, or do they simply slot together? .

The ones I had slotted into place and then had 2x self tappers going from the front face off the mudflap (under the arch)into the step to secure Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Mine were slotted together. The mudflaps aren't attached to the sidesteps. There is a plate which is screwed behind the lower body panel. The panel has to be removed to access the bodywork behind. The side panel is replaced and drilled through to allow the screws to pull the mudflaps into the bodywork.

Mine are OEM supplied by Dan at Duckworths.

Powerful UK have a useful video which shows how to. John

the genuine ones have a nut and bolt under the front end of the step securing the mudflap to it. The pattern ones have a screw that goes into the step from the wheel side.

I've replaced the rotten genuine steps on mine with pattern ones, but kept the original muflaps (they're better), just needs a small piece cutting off the end of the step.
