Electric seat movement

So now for my next silly question.......I think there could be one a day for the next 5 years with this vehicle Big Cry

When attempting to raise the rear of the seat squab by lifting the switch upwards the squab not only moves up but also moves forward.

Surely this cannot be correct Sad

France 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Adriatic Blue

I have had nearly the same with the driver seat. Seat moves while driving and pressed me against the dash.
The big switches for seat and back rest have gone and I have to renew the complete switch cluster.

For rh-driver seat the partnumber is: LR YUB500500PUY 12 way switch, rh, driver seat with memory Range Rover 2002-2009 LR wants 394,21€

Ordered mine at BMW partnumber 61317119870 for 249€...

Opened the defect one

be careful when clicking out the plastic clips of the cover from the seat base and clicking out the switch cluster from the plastic cover.

wait before disconnecting the plugs until the cars electronic sleeps (~ 10minutes)

After having all the stuff fixed reverse, test function and program all 3 memory switches! XJC, RRV8, Series1 86 and 107% of real pleasure

P47, I'm trying to remember back 6 years to when I had a TD6 SE and I'm pretty sure it did the same thing, also the first RRSport L320 SE that I had after the L322 TD6 certainly did that too. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Yes,

That is just how it is in some cars. Think our P38 was like this on passeger seat, and certainly like this on wifes audi A6. Just raise the seat then slide it back again.!
