Hi guys
Towards the end of last year I was made redundant and given a pay-off. My wife was debating whether we should use the money to cover my lean period, invest for our pension or use to finish building work. Whilst she was thinking about this I used it to buy a TDV8 Westminster! Luckily I got anther job and so lots of chance to use it. First impressions were that the tech was not as good as my wife's 6 year old Disco - no smart key, no digital aircon, no high bam assist, no all round cameras. However I an honestly say 6 months on it is the only car I have ever had that I like more and more each time I use it. To be fair the last car I bought as a daily use was 10 years ago (second hand XKR) and I have also been using a "hobby" Series 3 so not much to compare to! The RR has plenty of power and is really comfortable - because of the state of the roads I can actually go faster in it than the XKR (in that if you hit a pot hole you buckle a wheel - in the RR you glide over it). After a few months I realised I had bought it on winter tyres - therefore a good excuse to get some summer wheels and tyres on ebay!.
Enjoying the forum (and the RR!).
