Hello Ive recently purchased a 2002 RR and already Im modifying it to suit my needs. Its a HSE model with the old radio style headunit. I dont have digital sound or anything fancy just the bog standard speakers. After lots of research on this very forum I had fully intended to get the Erisin unit as featured on the Wikki here but after even more research on the unit itself, on various other forums Ive been put off due to absolutley terrible reviews. Almost all practically screamed DONT BUY THIS UNIT.

Now Im aware as with all things internet, people only tend to post about negative experiences. So is it really that badly made and that unreliable.?

The other Unit I liked was a Dynavin. This got better reveiws but was more expensive.

Ive got a cluster pixel repair kit and a Cherry wood trim kit already ordered so would like to do all the jobs in one go while dash is apart.

Any other headunit options similar to the ones ive mentioned that im not aware of. I dont mind spending a bit extra for peace of mind. I only want to do this job once.

i had a dynavin for a few years and had no problems at all tbh, plenty of things it did even though it wasn't connected to the net but phones and ipad can do that music and sat nav were great so id choose again  _____________________________________________________

Only had my erisin android unit a couple days, but to me this is fantastic.

Decent sound, looks great, fast response, rear camera, dvd, bluetooth calling and phonebook sync....all good to me!

Hope im not jinxing it now.....

I'm pretty sure Erisin, or any others actually make the head units, there are all generic and probably come from the same factory....

Had mine for nearly a year and still works fine, not heard any problems with others, a few have had faulty TV units though... Erisin always seem to give good service and they do answer emails...

Good luck with the pixel repair, that's about the only job on an FF that I would leave to an expert.... Pete
