2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue
Tow bar carrier

The importance of the bung!

The previous owner of my recent purchase must have driven the car for four years without the protective red bung in place.

The inside was completely full of rust and debris. I have spent hours cleaning and rubbing it clear.
The groove where the ball bearings of the swan neck locate is pitted and it won't lock properly.

Im taking no chances and have ordered some new parts.

Please keep the bung in!!

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

^^ what he said! Had the same problem with the witter bar on the Skoda, I hadn't put the Protective cover on it, not used it for a year or so then it wouldn't engage. Cleaned it out and got it to work and re fitted the bung (which was in the boot) 2 years later still and it engages first time! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
