Specman I find a set of 3 step aluminium ladders works well when roof cleaning, they get hidden in the garage after washing done and I don't have extra weight to lug around on the sides of the car! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

cant justify £1500 on steps but i do like the bar type , trouble is they aint no good for stepping on as your foot will slip off..side steps are practical and i agree with you FOX ,they dont look good .. ... - .- -. Y. O. L. O. . |

I have seen a version of the chromed side protection tube that you talk about that has a flattened step area but IIRC they are for Disco2's not L322's................................ they also look weird with a balck rubbered tread on the flat area. It is a company called something like Sidestep.co.uk that sells them.

I like the steps. It's cheaper than a years supply of broken tights and skirts and as Paul H said, the little one can climb into the car on her own. Paul

You know, NOT having any side steps can have its advantages when the lady in your life is getting in and out of the vehicle.
