Air suspention fault help would be appreciated.

I know this has probably been done to death but I couldn't find my fault. Car is a L322 4.4 petrol 2002.
I put the car in high suspention mode it took a long time to get up there but eventually it did, when I put it back to standard the front went down the back stayed up. I have a hawk eye diagnostic, so I checked for faults and none are recorded, I deflated the tank hoping this would reset and now it's stuck on the bump stops. The pressure in the system is saying 10 bar still no fault codes compressor seems to be starting up and is not over hot 60 degs.
So what do I look for any assistance would be gratefully received.

Mick

Best to change struts & bags over in pairs Thumbs Up

As you have a MY02 and if you are on original bags this is definitely recommended.

Someone will buy your "good" strut on eBay so you can recoup some of the cost Smile .

Okay decided to change both bags and maybe all 4 are the rears as prone to rot as the front ones? Should I replace them?

Have a look at the rear ones and see how they look - although it can be hard to tell because they sometimes show very little signs of wear.

Sensible option is to replace everything and then you know what you have got - ie 4 brand new bags and no worries for long time but there is a cost factor to consider for 4 bags and also the rear ones are just a bag and not a bag/strut combo so I am not sure if you should also change the struts on the back if you change the bag. Also on this point the front is a relatively quick job (1hr) as everything is contained in one part - the rear is a lot more involved as you have to take a lot more of the suspension apart to get to the bag.

If costs are not so much of an issue and you did go down replacing all the bags I would also be tempted to consider replacing the height sensors as well. 2008 TDV8
