Req. buying advice: strange Range Rover letter spacing - cau

Hi everybody

Found an interesting second hand FFRR for sale online. But the photo of the tailgate shows some weird letter spacing for the Range Rover name. Even in the front the words "Range" and "Rover" seem to be too close together. Could this be a reason to be cautious? Maybe they had to repair some areas and got the spacing for the letters wrong? Seller claims the car is without accident. Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Thanks and cheers

Chris

I don't think either the front or the rear is correct, it's possible that a previous owner changed the lettering to a different colour and then it's been changed back

Leading edge of the bonnet is prone to stone chips and the boot is prone to scratches from being opened and closed,
Badges also get stolen from time to time.

So it's possible the badges have been removed when minor paint damage has been rectified or the badges have been replaced for some other reason. So long as all the panel gaps check out and there is nothing untoward under the bonnet or behind the bumpers i wouldn't worry too much, it's just something to use as a negotiating point.

The front looks about right to me, but the rear seems to have a big gap between Range and Rover. Comparing it to my own pre-facelift car.

Thank you for your replies. Sounds like a proper check on site should be the next step. Cheers

The front looks ok but the back is wrong, on mine only the first and last letters are beyond the silver trim below.
