New owner - TDV8

Hi all,

Been lurking for a while before registering.

Picked up a Stornaway Grey 07/57 TDV8 in excellent condition, one previous owner and just 46k a few weeks back.

Been enjoying the higher driving position and not getting stuck in fields while shooting! A good replacement for a Volvo V70.

Room for the dogs. Can't recommend TransK9 boxes highly enough. Not cheap but excellent:

Hadn't realised they were rare, I kind of prefer the 7 spoke 19" ones it originally had. Would happily trade for period correct wheels with some AT tires, these Michelin Lattitudes are a bit crap on greasy fields.

Dealer had a 4.4 in at the same time but had put some 22" wheels on it and then transferred these to mine. Hence I played no part in the change, just a Happy recipient. 😀

its cos the latter cars generally were specced up to 20" so there were fewer around to start with.

There are quite a few of the originals 19" on Ebay at any one so its worth keeping your eye out, and yes the diamaris are rubbish at anything except tarmac, i had a set on my 3.6, they wear well though. if you dont mind a little more noise the Cooper LTZ seem pretty good. I have a set on my disco in 19" and they are wearing pretty well. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Ah, all makes sense now!

Was thinking more along the lines of General AT2s. Fair to say whatever I get will feel worse on the road than the tarmac focused Michelins, but as it's not a b-road blaster I'm not too fussed. Got the wife's Fiesta ST for those times when you want to drive like an 18yr old again!
