Could be damp related as we've got a big crack in the windscreen at the bottom and we are getting water drips behind the brake pedal and dampness on the drivers side A pillar.

Paul, I had a similar issue a month or so ago. Hazards and brake lights came on randomly, it had been parked facing downhill during a rainy period. Returned it to its normal uphill parking and no issues since despite the rain. Something to do with dampness in the BCM? |

Could well be that as its only been doing it since we've had the water ingress.

If it is water on the BECM then you really need to get it out and clean it properly, the salts and impurities in "normal" water are what causes damage, if they are left to dry on their own they will sit and rot the board over a period of time. Pete

Thinking about it, the LCM is on the drivers side "A" pillar, at the bottom behind the bonnet pull panel, maybe worth stripping that all out and cleaning it up... Pete

Thanks, I'll have a look at that, it would make more sense to be the LCM as that is where most of the damp is collecting. |

Good luck, as said above if you end up with a soggy ECU, grab a can of contact cleaner from CPC or similar for a couple of founds to ensure all the deposits etc are gone.
