Sticking brembo calipers?

I am pretty sure one of my front callipers is sticking. New discs and pads fitted 2k miles ago and already toast and causing huge wobble at all speeds.

Are the brembo fronts known for this? If so what is the best course of replacement?

they are not renowned for it, but they can like any other caliper start sticking, mine were starting to play up and i was getting a wobble too.

there are folks out there who will refurb them for you, from a simple piston and seal change to a complete repaint, though this isn't a totally straightforward option as they will have to be removed from the car by either you or a local garage who doesn't mind having your car hanging around for a few weeks, while they are repaired.

the other options are factory refurbed ones, or new. the factory refurbs are the way I went along with new gen discs and pads, but to be honest duckworthDan priced me a set of new ones for a very similar price.

so thems the options

refurb
factory refurb
factory new

Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I need it fixed asap as I can't have it off the road. Guess that means the expensive route. will have to investigate immediately available options tomorrow. ECP have them listed but not showing as stock.

Ask for your old ones back and sell them, someone will pay good money for them, I'd have them myself but they won't fit under my 18" wheels.... Pete

I phoned Ecp thinking the same thing, and they would have to order them in. Best bet is Dan (duckworthparts) who will also have to order them in but may be cheaper, worth checking.

There is no super fast way of getting them afaik. Pretty much no one carries them as a stock item. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

All sorted now and caliper replaced. Curiously on speaking to the specialist at the garage he mentioned passenger fronts being notorious, which I cannot work out why but there you go!
