Dear Collective,

I've made yet another c k-up and am wondering if anyone can offer some guidance.

I've recently bought a Looxcie HD camera via the bay-of-e and as it had to come from the US it's only just arrived. This evening I've followed the instructions to download the app' to be able to connect it to my HTC android phone - at this point I've found out Looxcie have effectively left the market and no longer offer any downloads including via Google Play.

Have I completely wasted hard earned cash or is there someway of getting it to work?

Any help will be gratefully received!

Yep - reading that it tells me that the Play store no longer stocks the app so I have to use the apk route which then takes me via a download manager and so on (I get scared when things aren't straight forward with I.T. ).

I do have a slight update - using that apk link I've now got some Looxcie software and it is asking me to pair with the camera but won't do this until I fit a Micro SD card and as I don't have one spare I'm now stuck until I can get one tomorrow.

What are the bets that after fitting the Micro SD card there'll bee something else?

If I can get it to work and do what I want I'll post some pics and the complete story on here - unless it's a pile of crap, in which case I'll need to drink more beer
