Well after all that faffing.

My locking wheel nut saga all started because I wanted to repaint the calipers. Well I eventually got it sorted and so this afternoon painted the calipers - they had been daubed silver at some point in the past I wanted them Graphite with Brembo rather than Range Rover decals.

Three photos, before, after and WIP very easy job.

Work in progress

Finished article - sans locking nuts - also cleaned and waxed wheel

graphite looks good mate, a lot better than the before shots!

I was just talking to my mate an hour ago about what colour to paint my calipers!

Might have to go with red again like on my old car - you lot won't like it though ha Dan

I'm contemplating this myself but did not realise the 'range rover' is a decal - I thought it was an indent in the casting.

Are the decals easy to get hold of?

Any recommendations on the paint used? the graphite looks very smart.

Nice to see a generous helping of copper grease on the hub - signs of good care. Thumbs Up

EDIT: Just found the decals on the bay of flea. £6.50!! 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Yep, Ebay was where I got all my stuff from, plenty of colours to chose from, job was a doodle to do (after getting the troublesome locknut off). A couple of hours per side (you have to wait for the paint to dry between coats) but probably only really 1/2 an hour doing something.

I also used the hydraulic jack I bought and modified as well as the wheel alignment tool thingy from Miggit - the T - Bar is overkill all worked like a charm. Very Happy Geoff

Not sure if original "Range Rover" is a decal, I could make it out under the paint as I was rubbing down but it wasn't raised at all so maybe its paint. Geoff

Geoff , mate, the T bar is just in case the chap who did your wheel nuts up gets hold of the Giude-o-Matic, otherwise there would be tears before bed time Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

what? Just because I've got some red paint left over and I don't want it to go to waste means I'm a chav?

There -
