Bumper off - really????

Hi All,

I've just got a quote for the LED ring & colour coding upgrade for my headlights. If done 'while you wait' the company said they would have to charge an extra 2hrs labour as, to get the headlights out, they needed to take the front bumper off...... I was under the impression that the lights came out with a few screws only?

I took the bumper off mine to do the electric fan the other day. The headlights definitely have mounting bolts at the bottom which I would think are only accessible with the bumper removed.

Bumper does not need to be removed ! 2 scews at the top and one at the side then just pull it out. I had mine removed when replacing the bulbs takes about 2 minuets . They probably just say that to cover themselves as lots of cars will require the bumper off to get the headlights out

The front gill does need removed but that also takes minuets Range Rover Vogue 2006 4.4 AJV8 | Buckingham Blue | Parchment Leather | Supercharged Grill+Side Vents | CA02 HEY ( NOT 02 PLATE )

Don't know if there is any difference in MYs but I changed the complete nearside headlight unit on my MY2005 L322 in February without removing the bumper. It was straightforward. John

Hi bomb d, would this upgrade be the same for my 05 ajv8 as your 07? Ithink they have the same front end? So is the conversion aimed at making it more like a 09 onwards style? And finally roughly how much and where? Sorry for all the questions but i like the idea of the led's Thumbs Up

that's a fair point, mine has the original type head lights with wipers. The facelift ones might be different.

As said If the car has the standard 2007 front end then the only part that has to be removed is the grill, then its just 3 screws, 2 at the top and 1 at the side then just lift the headlight out . Range Rover Vogue 2006 4.4 AJV8 | Buckingham Blue | Parchment Leather | Supercharged Grill+Side Vents | CA02 HEY ( NOT 02 PLATE )

I've got the 06 MY S/C and you don't need the bumper off as said above, take the grill off (three screws) being careful of the temp sensor wire and then there are three screws Philips #3 IIRC

Be a bit of a Censored changing sidelight bulbs otherwise Smile
