i did a change on a RR classic a few years ago now. the thing you have to do, is do it where the roof lining already is, as you cant realistically move it in your car. and if its a dirty place, then you are very likely (at least with a fabric one, to get it dirty. and if its hot you will struggle (like i did!) if its windy, dont do it! you would be better having an assistant too. if your old one is good, it will sell. but they are hard to transport away!

I took mine out a couple of weeks back and recovered it, mine is a 2003 hse without sunroof. No dramas at all. On the front screen pillar trims you need to pop out the SRS badge to expose a screw, the front console light has two screws, the rear pops out to expose two screws under it. The rest is all visible to remove. The headshell then comes out from the rear. |

Come for a ride in mine Stan. I notice the leather (and admire it wistfully) every time I get in. I only notice though because it's because it's so nice I think, but definitely worth the effort IMHO. |

What material did you use? I'm currently doing mine and have gotten as far as removing the headlining, stripping the old material and removing all the old foam backing / adhesive that was left behind. I bought some nova suede type material that has zero give or stretch so my plan was to buy genuine alcantara in charcoal (near black)

Using leather for the headlining does seem a bit extravagant. I mean don't get me wrong i like leather but you get much cheaper vinyls that look the same, they don't normally feel the same, but seeing as head lining isn't really something you touch and feel.

I picked up my cloth from ebay in Oz. The cloth is better than original but looks the same and a perfect match. Its a sandwhich of a backing sheet, foam then the facing material, 3mtrs cost $50. I was looking at elastic micro suede as an option for a similar cost from Aliexpress. |

Hi. Any update on this topic? I have a 2006 Range Rover L322 and would like to change it with a 2010 Ranger L322 Headliner.
