Not entirely correct. When I had a galvanised chassis fitted to my 110 a few years ago, I sourced a satin black paint intended for galvanised surfaces that needs no primer at all. Two coats were sprayed on and it resisted a heavy Salisbury Plain trip without any chipping at all. Si. <This is my name. I eat rat poison. I think you have done a top job with those. I would paint them if it was me, I used epoxy mastic on my ones on the classic then put anti slip tape on top & they double as side steps to get into the beast. 2004 RR 4.4 V8 Autobiography |
