Powerful UK plastic mahogany veneer

I bought the above for use around the gear lever surround and ash tray/bottle holder. I also bought the Magnolia coloured inset for the gear lever surround.

Fit is not perfect, it needs trimming to obtain a snug professional fit. The double sided tape is useless. you will need to use something better. I used a combination of double sided carpet tape and clear silicone adhesive to get it stay put.

I would have bought the real wood veneer items but they always seem out of stock.

Anyway here is a picture of it before final fitting. I thought it may assist those thinking of doing the same thing.

I love the fact that you're got a PROPER hand brake Thumbs Up A decent lever you can tug on Thumbs Up simple, tried & tested and fool-proof. Thumbs Up

Mine's got one of those silly electric jobbies which has no other benefit than being prone to make money for the dealers Big Cry Ah well, progress I guess!!

Back on subject, the fit you've achieved looks excellent - like it grew there Bow down

Doesn't look too bad. Are you happy with them?

Also have you got a cover on the switch surrounds where the air con switch etc are or what's going on there?

The car came with all the usual original veneer walnut door cappings and facia stuff. This was just something additional I fancied. It is not an exact match to the original walnut and I just could not get hold of the better quality veneer items. Its plastic but for the price I'm happy with the look.
