Neutral Its a shame its had so many owners within quite a short time Avi.

In its defence, providing the car is in as good as a condition it could be for that year, and all the paperwork etc. is correct it shouldn't matter...

...but, just like you are concerned about it now - you could quite possibly have exactly the same concerns shown by any potential purchasers when you come to sell it in the future, of course.

Yes, that's one of my main concerns come resale time, even if i can satisfy myself Sad

England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Tonga Green

Question Its understood that the first owner was LR and if it was a demo vehicle would probably only had it registered to them for a few months - do you know the circumstances of the remaining 4 registered keepers.

Were they 4 complete strangers to each other? - or - has the vehicle been re-registered within members of the same family eg. spouse to spouse? - it may offer some explanation why it has been registered so many times within a few years and lower your suspicion to some degree.

Seems a real shame as the car looks very presentable in the advert and I think is keenly priced.

That's the biggest load of poppycock I've heard yet. DVLA don't change the number of owners when you have a cherished plate

Had a look at that one a couple of weeks back. Not impressed. Alarm bells for me was a bit of an understatement.
This here is a much better car despite the pre facelift front. I went to have a look at the weekend as the guy was just up the road from me.
All I can say is WOW. Beautiful car. In fact I'd go as far as saying the best I've seen. It just looked right even though I had convinced myself a face lift car was what I wanted. The guy who owns it is a true petrol head and I could have honestly spent all day chatting. He has known the car from day 1 as it was originally his Dads from new - not many out there like that. In fact one thing he did say was how difficult it gets to convey all the info about a good car without making the advert into war and peace.
I'm coming round to giving it serious consideration because I to have had nothing but disappointment with c Censored p at the stealers and wouldn't like to miss out whilst carrying on in the belief that exactly what I'm after may turn up....one day.
Happy hunting
Rich

Thanks Rich, that's fantastically useful. What was it about the Red one that was so bad? The one you have pointed to is Chippy's from on here, and i've had a few PMs with him about it. Must admit it's at the back of my mind, and like you i convince myself i wanted a facelift.

I think we're probably battling for the same cars Smile. I've looked at 6 or 7 now, none of which i was happy with. It doesnt help that my mate bought a really low mileage facelift 05 for a lot less than these a year a so ago, but FFRR prices seem to have hiked up since then. His is immaculate, and i just couldn't really settle for anything less.

Cheers

Andy

Andy,
First off it was the colour. In the flesh it just didn't look like a Range Rover should. Difficult to explain but several years ago I owned an Epsom Green P38 Vogue on a W plate. The colour just looked right, in fact probably the best colour for that car. However the same colour on the '02 onwards 322 RR just looks wrong. Then there was this ownership issue, which you can talk yourself round to, but the little voice keeps niggling away in the back of your mind - why?
I came away with too many doubts, if you know what I mean.
Then I decided to take a look at the Adriatic Blue one - didn't realise he had advertised it on here - and as I said in the previous post, WOW. Worlds apart. No confusion whatsoever - day 1 history etc. Think I can put up with the pre facelift front. Everything looks right.
My personal headache now is selling my car, which I was going to part ex with a dealer. Otherwise I would drop off a deposit tomorrow ( the more I've been thinking, and now writing about it, the more I think it's meant to be). However I don't think he'll have it much longer.
Rich

No, 'fraid not Sad

I've looked at 2 recently of the same combo as your old one, but both were let downs when I saw them up close.
