Resler Interface

Hi all,

I'm trying to install a Resler interface into my 2003 V8 Vogue. Am I right in thinking that all I need to do is find the right cables in a loom (i.e. Ibus, ground, live), pull out the relevant pins, push in the corresponding cable from the interface and push the pin back in?

I have an accessible wiring loom connected to my bluetooth module - I was thinking of just wiring it in to that - would that work?

Thanks v much.

Not done it myself, I use the OBD 2 connection under the dash for Navcoder, that can also use a resler interface.

I believe you can wire it as you describe.

It just piggy backs on the loom.....

The I-bus is commoned up behind the glovebox just above the fuses, so in theory you should be able to piggy back on to the I-bus at any module on the system. But as Mark says I also use an OBD II lead to connect the Navcoder, after a wise man put me on to the lead!

I bought one of those OBII cables but never managed to get it to work with NavCoder.

Will try wiring in the Resler interface this week, thanks for the replies.

Did you load the drivers that came with the lead? and then set it to com 1 ? Mine was less than cooperative, but in the end it gave in and installed its' self. Only the car speaks serial (RS232) the the computer has progressed to usb so with out the drivers (translator) they aint gonna talk Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I'll try the OBII cable again tonight - unfortunately, though, I've lost the driver CD. Does anyone know where I can download them from?
