If you find the washer bottle filler and look down below it with a torch you'll see the washer bottle. you might be able to get access to the plug on the head lamp washer motor by taking the wheel arch liner out. If you un plug it you should be able to test if there is 12v getting to the motor when someone switches the washers (nb the headlights also need to be on to make the headlamp washers work.)

Thank you James and ZB. I'd read somewhere about the H/Ls having to be on, and the intermittent use, but have tried those and nothing's happening! I'll make some time this weekend to do some peering around for this washer and motor.

BTW, I treated the old girl (113k miles) to an expensive detailing, cleaned alloys and new wheel nuts and locking nuts this week. She looks GREAT (except for the washers ... and the rear camera ... and the non-lifting steering wheel).
