You do have the satnav and premium sound or dsp? If so, more than likely it's not the amp but the radio unit. This sits before the amp and (barring the transport of wet boots) is generally much more likely to die than the amp is.

I have something sitting infront of what I believe is the amp, yeah the car has satnav etc. Which is also not working or getting any power.

## Update ##

Satnav now works fine, just wasnt plugged in. What does the amp look like, im beginning to think I took the wrong item apart to investigate. The item was at the very back of the passangers side rear wheel arch, was black in colour and had three plugs with numberous wires going into it. The part number was XQK000030. Is this indeed the main amp? There was another three electrical items in the same area all encased in a silvery alloy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a couple of long journeys coming up and its not good driving in silence.

Of course water entering this area filled with high end audio modules is a blatant design flaw.
People get to replace in excess of 700 GBP modules just because an ordinary car wash or a rainy day results in water dripping onto the precious modules. /gunnar L322 Vogue V8 -03 Giverny Green
