CD Changer won't open

Folks,

My CD changer has been working fine since I bought the vehicle in November but yesterday, the CDs stopped playing and it reports NO DISC on all slots. When I open the glove box and slide open the disc unit, pressing the eject button starts to eject (makes a noise) then stops.

Any ideas how to eject the magazine without using that button?

I thumped it with the side of my hand, worked perfect. Couldn't find what was wrong, re-stacked all CDs, works great.
