don't know what your mileage is going to be like but if it was me id plan to do more regular oil changes say every 5k using a good oil, rather than 12 to 15k changes using a really expensive oil. Can you do the oil change bit say between dealer services , if not get someone to show you, its very rewarding doing this knowing that its done correct. |

im planning on using a reasonable semi synthetic lube say every 5k miles , the expensive fully synth oils are better and are designed to last longer without braking down , however if you are a frequent oil changer then the extra life you are buying is just being thrown away. Ive had new kawasakis for 20 years and change oil every 2k miles , I have always just used a cheap semi oil in the bikes as anything else is just a waste for that service interval |
