Advice on my after market wheels

Would like some of your knowledge on this one.

Bought my RR with these wheels on 255/50 20 tyres fitted. ive not told the insurance company yet and have done a bit of research about them. I think they are the 20inch stormer alloy which appears to have been an upgrade from new .

is that right , will the insurance company be more gentle with me as its a recognised alloy , or as long as I tell them will it not make any difference. Does anyone think this is just a random aftermarket alloy

if neccasary im prepared to sell these and go to original , but ive no idea what the car had from new. I do like these but am not going to pay a silly amount to keep mr insurance happy

your car would have had either 19" or 20" wheels depending on the options selected at purchase.

Most likely these 19".

I would ask the question of the insurance company and see if it makes a difference. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

How can you tell they are non-genuine without looking at the numbers?

Those wheels were never an upgrade option. Never fitted to the L322. With or without Range Rover on them.

The ones with Range Rover on are the style 11 and the v spokes. Both of which are for the later facelifted cars.

Stormers only ever got fitted to the Sport.

What it had from new are the 19 inch wheels like your spare on the other post.

On the back of them should be some markings with the weight limit of the alloy and the width I would imagine. Not sure they are rated for the weight of the ff........ Sell on to a rr sport owner and keep the tyres.

Easiest give away is the 19mm aftermarket wheel nuts... OE sport wheels have the same 22mm wheel nuts as the L322... Italian copied wheels also use the 22mm OE wheel nuts so are harder to recognise and need closer inspection... Thumbs Up

im sure I saw landrover on the inside of the wheels last time they were off!

might be interested in the SC wheels for the right price! although I may go down the original wheel route as they are as cheap as chips and spend some money on getting them painted up nice

I didn't post the cheapest wheels in my link, sorry......

They were just for an idea.

If you are having them painted, you could get them much cheaper and refurb.

I think there are more tyre choices on the 19 inch rim and they are much cheaper.

Good luck with your quest.

The genuine supercharged ones look good though, only 20 s though.
