I jack up mine with the merc sprinter bottle jack and the steps deployed but not removed. The jack handle fits fine between the step and the wheel. No probs as long as you leave a door open or use the procedure (which I can never remember) to lock out the steps. 2012 5.0L S/C

I would advise investing the the Sprinter bottle jack, or a trolley jack. You are pretty much guaranteed the steps won't remove as the diagram shows, it will be raining, the Mother-in-Law looking on in scorn etc etc. Far better to have a way of jacking without removing the step. |
