They only sell something you can put in, not take out and lets face it there are loads of things you can buy that you shouldn't use because of some regulation of other, see how many items, even in Halfords" say "NOT FOR STREET USE"

I must say, had the air con system leak tested, cleaned and a re-gas by a Land Rover independent and it's icy cold now. The levels were very low, which is odd as my Mazda (10 years old) has never been re-gased and is still icy cold as the day I bought it. I am hoping I won't need to have this done again for a few years at least. |

I've used one of those halfords kits on an old Fiat i had, it worked a treat.

With mine on the auto setting, if it's hot, the fan comes on at a high speed and then drops back as the temperature inside stabilises. So I agree with your premise. John

If the gas pressure is low it wont go full blast, it takes a little time for the compressor to bring the system pressure up, so normally there is a brief pause while it does this before it comes on full blast.

Plus one on the temperature sensor. There is a post or two about how to clean them on the forum and probably in the Wiki as well |
