Remove Pasenger Side Air Vent

I'm trying to remove the Passenger Side Air vent but struggling.

I have a MY2012 but am following from the previous manual 2006 to 2010 as I think it's the same as below.

I can get it to move at all. Do you know if you pull the clips inwards to the centre of the air vent or push outwards. The manual indicates outwards but hey only seam to move inwards.

Anybody have experience of doing this on a 2010+ ?

Many thanks

On mine you pull them into the centre of the vent whilst looking into the vent. I use a small screwdriver and try to free one side first and hold that side out, with fingers in the top part of vent, before doing the other side.

Ok. I've got most of it out but just can't get the Portable Camea dock removed.

The manual says remove the 2 Screws, but I can't see any on MY2012 model.

Any ideas how to remove the camera dock ?

Many thanks

Ok made some more progress, but am struggling yo remove the Blue RF cable plug from the back of the Portable Camera. Any ideas how to release the little Blue connector ? There is so little room to get to it because the cable is so tight holding the Glove Box Facia back on.

Many thanks.

Sorry to be nosey.......... But what are you doing behind there? What are you fitting/repairing/removing? Whistle

On another note, I was looking at retro fitting a venture cam, done searching on here and net but no one seems to have claimed to have done it. So had a look at the wiring I can see on your photos and yeah it looks very tight. Prob why no one has fitted one in. Laughing

I'm replacing the Upper Glove Box Facia Trim that includes the Upper Glove Box hinges for the Glove Box lid.
Unfortunately one of the hinges broke, so it had to be done. I have removed it all now and just need to get the Venture Cam Holder removed from the old one before assembling the new Dash Facia back in the vehicle.

Would I do it again ? Nope...

The blue plug i assume is the fakra lead? If so, there is a small raised square on the side, that needs depressing and it pulls straight off... Use a small electrical screwdriver AND BE GENTLE!!! Thumbs Up
