My new Toy

Friends

as nice weather is back in South of France , it's about time i presented you my new toy .
Its a SAAB Classic convertible .
It's been my dream car since 1994 when i first bought my Classic 900SE combi .
As now I am living in Marseille , it was about time I fulfilled my dream .

so here i is , 06/1192 SAB 900 S , LPT .

Funnily enough there is one feature which is valid for my 3 cars ...... ignition key is situated between the seats bacwards from gear lever .
Good , as this way I do not get confused ......

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up was a real SAABIST in the 80ies and early 90ies. Loved and drove them to pieces. did 100K kilometers a year. Started with a 900 turbo (2), 900turbo16, 9000Turbo, 9000 CD turbo, changed to Jaguar and bought my wife a 900 monte carlo cabrio. These are great cars. Enjoy it thoroughly! I know we did.

Yes it's a shame and mostly thanks to GM mismanagement of this niche brand . Jaybear

Always loved these.

We used to own an '89 9000; black with tan Connolly leather. Beautiful old thing. So damned solid.

These 900's are THE iconic Saab. Well done! Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

Very nice! Thumbs Up
I was always surprised with the 900 as I think the two is a very nice looking car (with or without a roof) Mr. Green but the 4door always looked quite awkward to me. You picked the right one. Very Happy
