Recommended cleaning products or dressings for black plastic

Can anyone recommend any cleaning products or dressings for the black plastic pillars on the ff. i have tried a few different black trim dressings but they all leave streaks etc. I'm considering getting the painted gloss or satin black as i just can't find anything to make them look decent. I have never come across this before on any other cars, the trim dressings i have used look great on the textured finished mirrors etc its just the smooth pillars I'm having trouble with Big Cry Range Rover Vogue 2006 4.4 AJV8 | Buckingham Blue | Parchment Leather | Supercharged Grill+Side Vents | CA02 HEY ( NOT 02 PLATE )

T-cut & polish them Mark... Trust me sir, you'll be amazed at the results!

You see, they are painted plastic! (which most people don't realise) and its the paint thats gone flat Thumbs Up

Black shoe polish can also produce good results (applied as per shoes!) .

For the last four years I've tried everything, but have arrived at a similar solution to Craig.

No good for the painted pillars but this stuff is excellent for the windscreen scuttle.

http://gtechniq.com/products/auto/perfect/...m-restorer

Used it on the sea of plastic on my old XC70 and it really does bring it up like new and it still looked great two years later when I sold it....

A bit pricey but it does work....... Pete

A bit pricey?? You can get hard drugs cheaper than this. 15ml for £22. How much trim can you do for that, 15ml is less than the average cough mixture dose .

You only use a small amount of GTechniq, dabbed onto a cotton wool pad from the bottle. It goes a long way.

Yep, but it works, looks like new and lasts for 2 years at least....

I bought 30ml and it did my XC70 (about 4 acres) the wife's TT, my brother's Jeep and my Merc CL500 so a little goes a long way....... Pete
