radio removal

im sending my radio away to get the pixels repaired ( 2003 with radio/cd combo - poor mans option ) . can I run the car while its out without damaging any of the electrics or computer functions anybody know ?

Yes, I took mine out of my TD6 and used it. You can separate the display from the radio, you don't need to send the whole unit off. SC 4.2, 2012 face lifted, 25K miles, 1 previous owner

Mine was out for the week too. No problem. I did put the dash top back on though.

Can highly recommend AkSpeedo, I sent it special delivery on the Monday and it was back with me on Thursday. I was sent a pic when they'd changed the cable and tested it. Then paid by Paypal

Need to sort the speedo pixels next..
