I'm getting 33mb/s with Sky fibre. Not too shabby considering it was around 2 pre-fibre. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

We only got two Virgin boxes, one upstairs and one downstairs as the Sky System we had worked fine like that and we fed 3 X TV's off each box.

The problem is that you're converting an analogue signal twice - and it will degrade each time - SCART to composite video, then modulating that to run over co-ax. The TiVo boxes aren't really designed with analogue in mind. If you have decent TV's in other rooms, then it might be time to bite the bullet & buy an HDMI splitter & run HDMI cable to the other rooms. Also, have you looked at Virgin Anywhere - allows you to use 2 iPads/tablets/laptops to watch TV - might pacify some of the family 'feedback' |

I've just upgraded to the bt faster broadband. Couldn't get infinity out here in sticks. My old download was about 0.52mbs so rang up bt and he said he could improve it. So had new bt hub 5 and when I was connected wow 4.5mbs now no buffering and at least two of us can use the Internet at the same time. Well pleased |

Ah well, I have BT for the phone, Sky for the telly , Virgin cable broadband and my mobile from EE, thats what I call quad play and I keep it that way as I believe each is best of breed - its only money. Geoff |

Cheers. Sky seems more advanced on the sourcing programmes/ easy to work front. Virgin's remote control capabilities seem long winded and antiquated. Family firmly of the view that Sky is much easier and slicker to use.

For the same package as we had with Sky (2 boxes, the landline, broadband, full Sky TV Movies & Sports package) Virgin includes all of the same as Sky, plus better broadband and also adds BT Sport & Netflix. Outgoings on that lot are reducing from about £117/month with Sky down to £65.99/mth with Virgin, plus a £100 start up contribution from Virgin.
