For those in the forum that don't use Facebook or Twitter, tagging is a way of 'mentioning' other users and linking their name to a post or picture. It strikes me that this would be really useful for the forum. If a users name was mentioned in a post, it would notify the user that they had been 'tagged' and offer a link to the post.

This would be useful for alerting Stan, passing sales opportunities to sponsors like Gaz, Dan and Craig etc. also for users with specialist knowledge could be mentioned like RRPhil and his gearbox encyclopaedia. The benefits are endless and would ensure that nobody missed a post relevant to them.

Wonder if it's difficult to add as a feature (to this forum I didn't say I knew what I was talking about!)

A like button would be nice as well  My Previous RR's!
