The route I did was Troon, Lamlash, Gigha, Port Ellen, Ballycastle, Glenarm, Campbelltown, Troon. I would definitely like to explore more of the Western Isles by boat again. After the sailing I went by car to Oban and would love to sail around there. |

It's a fantastic cruising area. My last three years before coming out here were in Crinan. Loved it but MOH, as a keen gardener, couldn't get on with the weather and more especially (again!) the midges.

Thanks for the advice. I'm pushed for time at the moment, but I would dealy love to spend lots of time there. |

Weegie's right apart from Bellanoch , British Waterways kicked the charter boats out because they couldn't be arsed looking after the place . I'm a shipwright and I'm also from Ardfern so if at any time in the future you need some contacts and inside advise please get in touch .
