Switzerland 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

The route I did was Troon, Lamlash, Gigha, Port Ellen, Ballycastle, Glenarm, Campbelltown, Troon. I would definitely like to explore more of the Western Isles by boat again. After the sailing I went by car to Oban and would love to sail around there.

It's a fantastic cruising area. My last three years before coming out here were in Crinan. Loved it but MOH, as a keen gardener, couldn't get on with the weather and more especially (again!) the midges.

Ardfern would be a good place to look for yacht charter. Gives you good scope for going to the Oban area as well as out to Mull and the Small Isles.

Other places are Craobh Haven and also Bellanoch on the Crinan Canal has a yacht charter company. John

Weegie's right apart from Bellanoch , British Waterways kicked the charter boats out because they couldn't be arsed looking after the place . I'm a shipwright and I'm also from Ardfern so if at any time in the future you need some contacts and inside advise please get in touch .
I miss every thing but the Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored midgies but they cant get to you out to sea Thumbs Up 2008 MY Supercharged

Axle, in that respect Perth is pretty nice ey Smile. Can't remember any midgies although the flies could get quite annoying (but not half as bad as in the red center). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Fly= really Censored Censored anoying
Midgie= unber:censored: Censored Censored Censored Censored Censored annoying, and the worst thing is every winter we would all get a kind of collective amnesia until the next season and then every one would run around going rapidly insane Evil or Very Mad saying I don't remember it being so bad !

Not that I'm saying don't go , god forbid . it's possibly the most beautiful place on earth but in summer DET based insect repellent and midgie nets are essential for sanity and enjoyment .( Avon skin so soft is very effective if you cant use DET)

P,S Perth is lovely but (whisper it ) I cant stand sand Rolling with laughter 2008 MY Supercharged
