My daughter has just got a dog and guess who's going to be looking after it?

So it might be useful to have a dog guard, he's only little but I bet if he really tried he could get over the back seat and attack me - little monster that he is.

So I need to cage him in, I don't know if these things are coloured but if so mine is Ivory, I have thought about shoving him the boot with the parcel shelf in place but it might not go down well with SWMBO.

Geoff, if your not used to dogs? Cage him from an early age sir. That way the dog will get used to it early on

If the worst happens and there is a "BIG" accident (heavens forbid!) a loose dog quickly turns into a deadly missile

an alternative could be a dog harness which can be attatched to the seat belt to stop the little thing from 'rattling' about if you have to brake sharply for instance....this setup works on ours and we feal its the best safety option.. ... - .- -.

I have two sitting in the garage, the full one with cage from floor to roof and the half one from top of seats to roof.

You are welcome to either free but collection only I really cannot post such massive items I have neither the packaging or time.

Sorry Stan, i was assuming it was to be a large dog (like ours)

As Stan says Harness's are just as good on smaller dogs

Just to stop the dog type speculation it's a little Jack Russell that gets everywhere so that's why my idea with the parcel shelf would work

Ask around somebody may be travelling North....

Hi - I use a standard dog cage - from pets at home, that just folds flat when not in use and sits on the rubber mat in the boot (stops it sliding) think they are about £40. This keeps the dog safe and my interior clean! also stops him nibbling any interior trim. Once I work out how to get a picture on I will show you mine

I bought a dog guard before I even got the car off you Geoff. I wanted a full one but could only find the top half one. I haven't used it yet though.
