Headlight bulbs

Changed my sidelight bulbs to led (TD6) now the headlight bulbs look very yellowish in comparison, can anyone point me in the direction of some headlight bulbs to match.

Bear in mind, it depends on what colour temperature the LEDs are. 6000k is most common for the best efficacy but not uniform. Mine are circa 5000k to more closely match my preference for better performing 4300k bulbs.

You don't need to remove the headlights to change the bulbs on a 2003 TD6 Thumbs Up

^+1, as nicedayforit says, no need to remove the headlight to change the bulb, you can unclip the plastic covers off the back of the lights, undo the connectors to the lamps and unclip the bulb cover with the headlight in-situ.

Be careful though, as putting the new bulbs in can be a bit fiddly, especially on the passenger side as there is a bit less space to work in. And make sure the ignition is off, as the voltage that goes through the Xenon bulbs (28,000 Volts) is not to be messed with.

There are so many listed on fleabay with prices as low as £10 a pair. However, having gone down that route thinking I've got a good deal, I have become fed up having to replace these "cheap" bulbs within a year or less so have now gone for OSRAM XENARC ORIGINAL

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003VNP...=8-1-fkmr2

which if you use Flubit you can get two for £53.74 with a 4 year guarantee.

Hope this helps

Tim

Going to try the cheapies first, if no good will try the expensive ones. Thanks all
