Ok I'm going to tackle a judder which occurs after I have been driving for about an hour.
I'm pretty sure it was caused by a leaking caliper contaminating the pads and overheating the disc, however I sorted that and it seemed fine but happened again on a run down to the Alps. I also have a couple of rusty pipes at the front which need changing.
So I'm going in for a penny and a grand.... New front discs, pads, factory refurbished calipers, new flexi pipes, new LR brake pipes to the calipers. So hopefully it should be sorted.
Question is, re bleeding the brakes, does the car need plugging In to bleed the front brakes? One of the pipes goes all the way back to main block in the engine bay, one goes back to the inner wheel arch, swapping out with the flexis and the calipers it should take a bit of fluid to refil everything, and I have all the kit to do the job but may just hand it over to the garage! Just got to figure which one!
Anyway I will have the original spare pair of calipers which will be going to the refurbisher as a spare pair! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
