Battery Light

Hi Guys,

My battery light has been illuminated since I purchased but the car but it is running fine.

What happens is that in the morning the car will start and I can drive for about 5 or so minutes and then it will start to flash very intermittently. It will then stay on permanently with no adverse issues. I have put a voltmeter across the battery terminals when the car is running and it is charging at about 14v.

I've had the car over two months now and I've looked into the solution but aside from changing the alternator which appears to be working, I've drawn a blank.

Any ideas anyone.......? Neutral

kind regards

You really need to have a voltmeter connected whilst you are driving to see if the voltage is consistent or going up and down.
You could check the alternator and battery connections but unfortunately I think you may have an alternator problem. What mileage has you car done?
