Anybody got the 1700W Meridian Sound System?

I've got this coming on my L405 when it arrives next month. I haven't really seen much about it - does anybody have it? I'm expecting it to be considerably better than the 750W HK one in my L322 which isn't bad at all!

Hi there

Just registered to reply to your post.

I took delivery of my AB back in October & speced the 1700 watt Meridian sound system. I had heard the standard system, which I thought was fairly good (improvement on previously owned l322), but was assured by the dealer that the 1700 watt system was in another league. To say that I was a bit nervous about splashing out a considerable amount of cash on an upgrade that could not be demonstrated to me is an understatement.

However, on delivery all my fears were allayed. This sound system sounds absolutely incredible, if you are a bit of an audiophile like me, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Any Q's feel free to ask

Kam

I have the 1700 watt system it is just fantastic, try playing Dire Straits Money for nothing on it, or Pink floyd The wall, album the sound will blow your mind It is worth the money for the 1700 watt system.

I drove a AB TDV8, but with the std Meridian.

In my opinion, the old HK Premium, as in my car, sounds better.
Can't really say anything about the 1700w.

First post - sorry if I am making mistakes.
The upgrade for Meridian sound system is excellent. Yes expensive but why not. The car is quite and the clarity is mind blowing. Set the settings to Meridian and 3D and sit back and relax. Thumbs Up

If anybody has any doubt about ordering this...DO IT. It's simply the best in-car sound system I've experienced and blows the socks off Bentley's in the GTC. When ordered as part of the Signature Entertainment Pack (£7,300), it's actually better 'value'.

Problem is...any other in-car sound system will sound terrible. The L322's HK system was very good but this is in a different league.
