Not really. You cant hear it when you accelerate but when the engine revs die down you her it again. Sorry have read somewhere about the car having a remote heater that you can activate with the key to warm the car up but showing my ignorance. Have never intentionally used it and really don't know how to |

It comes on automatically when started if set conditions are met. Outside temp lower than something, water temp lower than something else. Can't remember exactly. The remote fob is just an override to allow manual switch on. I can set mine to come on using Aux Heat on the screen menu. Defrosts the car and is warm inside before you go out in the morning.

Thanks guys. No Ive heard that noise from battery area. It occurs in cold weather. No this is definitely from down near the aircon unit and pulleys. The more I think about it the more I think it sounds like a bearing noise.I just remember how much of a pain it was lying outside in puddles under the car replacing the alternator. If its just the air con belt tensioner that's not to bad. They don't seem expensive to buy but if its the air con pump then we are talking £250-350 then the hassle of fitting. |

If it's the bearing on the aircon pump, you can just change the bearing, mine has been moaning since I got the car last February, it's a bit louder now after 12,000 miles but still works fine so wait until warmer weather and do it...

Hi lads just found this on search, coming home today 130 mile round trip to welshpool and back, about 5 mls from home got a loud screech from front drivers side under bonnet, thought it might be belt related so turned aircon off and it stopped. Tried again a couple of miles later and got a rumbling noise. Hope its the bearing as said above it can be sourced separately. Anyone know where from, or is it a main stealer part.
