d1s xenon bulb

Quick question. What is the colour temp of the standard d1s bulb in a RR.
I'm about to order some new ones.

Thanks Stan, but I'm going for the Osram Xenarc Nightbreakers which have a colour temp of 4350K. Just wanted to make sure they were going to be the same as those fitted.
Compared to other D1S bulbs they are supposed to have

•70% more light on the road for increased safety at night
•20m longer beam pattern improving visibility and allowing hazards to be seen sooner giving you more time to react
•5% whiter light reducing eye strain and making night driving more comfortable and safer for you and other road users
•The brightest Xenon bulb in the world.

6000k looks whiter to the eye but does not have the actual brightness or throw I need.
I'll post some comparison photos when the bulbs arrive and are fitted.

Sourced mine from ebay £62 each. A lot of money for a bulb however when driving in the dark my natural line of sight falls beyond the limit of the light thrown by the current bulbs. I've tried altering my driving position but it hasn't helped. Hopefully the bulbs will deliver the extra 20m of light throw I need for comfortable night driving. We shall wait and see. Travelling around in circles again.

These read well.

Look forward to what you think to the end result.

Without sounding daft, you can fit these yourself then ? Only ever changed normal bulbs......

It says you need a lithium metal battery or something ? We have this I take it ?

I've finally fitted the Osram Xenarc nightbreakers at approx £60 each.
I forgot to do a before and after dashcam photo.
However I can tell you that they are much brighter, really brighter than the one's I had in.
The light is whiter but they do not give you the extra 20m throw I bought them for.
There is lots of extra light on the near side of the beam pattern.
Are they worth £60-£72 each? Probably not.
BUT the extra brightness has made me feel a lot safer and the extra 5-10m light throw is an improvement on what I had. Travelling around in circles again.

Stan.
How much did you adjust 'A' by? In which direction? Any tips appreciated. I'd love a few extra metres on dip beam without blinding oncoming drivers.
