Half a dozen heading down to the Alps, along with all the disco 4's south of the Watford gap.....anyone?

Was heading up from the albertville/chambery area, after queueing for 2 hours to get to moutiers from bourg St Maurice. The rest of the trip was ok, I should guess all the Englishers I saw were the stuck for a good while getting past chambery!! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

You probably passed me coming the other way - We made the mistake of leaving Lyon an hour later than usual - the traffic was crazy on the way up - we left Lyon at 8 and it was close to 1pm when we hit La Plagne - last year we left at 7 and were here by 9:30

Still, we managed to get out on the slopes this afternoon

Well done that man. The traffic was terrible last week too. We left Dijon at 9.30 and arrived at 3. Should have taken 4 hours max! coming out of chambery was rubbish.

By the time we had been and stocked up and done skis etc we didn't manage to get out on the sat!

Beware the road down to moutiers on checkout day!!!! Mind you La plange is further along the road, took hours of non moving/stop start traffic, mostly caused by lights regulating the flow through the tunnel just before moutiers. An early start may be a good idea. We made the mistake of leaving at check out time.....(swmbo). There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Made that mistake once

Got it off to a tee usually, just cot complacent with a lie in this morning & suffered for it.

We're out all day on the final Saturday - this year we have a bob sleigh run booked for 5 o'clock

We stop for food, then a hotel in Reims - complete the journey on Sunday.

8 days skiing & boarding and 2 Saturdays which are the quietest - which for me is the main benefit of driving
