Wondering if anyone has used AL Services in Poole?

If so, were they any good?

Hi I have no knowledge of this garage. But I can highly recommend Bournemouth Land Rover in Alder Hills My Motto: If you are going to have one, have a BIG one!

My Freelander, L322 and D3 have been looked after by Andy (the A in ALS) for a number of years. May not look like a smoked glass main dealer but the accumulated knowledge and engineering is a goldmine.

Been very happy.

I've been down in Poole during COVID, so had to use a garage down here for it's annual service and check instead of my normal indies in London.

I'd bought a lovely custom stainless steel snorkel for my first Ninety from Andy at AL Services quite a number of years ago now when I was 16, so phoned them up to book in the 5.0 S/C and they were super helpful, even when I was being a bit picky on what oil to use.

Very happy with the service, done exactly on schedule, great communication throughout, and detailed feedback from the mechanic who had done a very through check of the vehicle (with thankfully only a few couple of very minor points noted) and some helpful suggestions of potential future proactive maintenance items.

I'll certainly be back again!

I've not used them personally but a friend has used them for several years on his Disco 2&3 and Range Rover. Always spoke highly of them , I did attempt to book my fatty in one time for an urgent job but they were fully booked for a few weeks which was a pain but must be good if that busy.

I did however use another Land Rover Independent in Three Legged Cross who were shockingly bad and advised me I needed £2.5k of welding doing for the MOT - it didn't and passed the MOT with no corrosion advisories! Steer clear!
